Five-year-old Nicholas Rolfi, of Oakville, above, and his friend Parker Lord recently were honored as Firefighters for the Day at the St. Louis Fire Department headquarters. The boys toured the fire academy and museum, learned about fire safety, went up in the basket of a hook-and-ladder truck for a ‘rescue’ and learned how to properly manage a fire hose. Nick and Parker are students at Forsyth School in Clayton. Nick is the son of Tony and Janice Rolfi, of Oakville, and grandson of Enrico and Jeannie Rolfi, of Oakville. Parker is the son of Jim and Jennifer Lord, of Ladue.
