A man in South County was found safe Wednesday after an endangered person advisory was issued for him after he went missing Tuesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said that William Harris, 40, was last in contact at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday in South County. The St. Louis County Police Department issued a missing endangered advisory.

He is on foot in the South County area and may be suicidal, the MSHP said.

Harris is a white man who is five feet, 10 inches, 250 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes, but may have a shaved head and a beard.  It is not known what he is wearing.

Anyone who has seen Harris or has any information related to him is asked to immediately dial 911, contact the nearest law enforcement agency or the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8225.

If you or someone you know might be at risk of suicide, call 1-800-273-8255 to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. It provides free and confidential support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for people in suicidal crisis or distress.
