Easter to end with snow, sleet and freezing rain

St. Louis County residents will close out Easter with a winter weather advisory for snow, sleet and freezing rain expected to last through 1 a.m. Monday, the National Weather Service said Sunday night.

The NWS projects precipitation in the next several hours including snow, sleet and freezing rain. Snow accumulations up to an inch and ice accumulations of a light glaze are expected.

The advisory applies to areas in east-central Missouri and southwestern Illinois, including St. Louis County, St. Louis city, and Crawford, Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles and Washington counties.

Drivers should plan on slippery road conditions and expect reduced visibility on the roads, forecasters said.
