South county Boy Scouts Philip T. Abernathy and Richard P. Davis Jr. recently were presented with Missouri House res-olutions by Rep. Walt Bivins in honor of earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

“Philip and Richard are both shining examples of the diligence and commitment to helping others that is essential in achieving the rank of Eagle Scout,” Bivins stated in a news release. “They have grown into young men ready to make a difference in the world around them and it is a true hon-or to be able to recognize them for their accomplishments.

“I want to extend my sincere congratulations to both Philip and Richard for this remarkable accomplishment,” Bivins stated. “They are representative of the fine young people who will be the leaders of tomorrow.”
