Downed power lines will keep Hawkins Fuchs Road closed at its intersection with Meramec Bottom Road through the evening rush hour, according to officials with St. Louis County’s Department of Transportation.
The lines — and the pole that supports them — were knocked to the pavement after a motor vehicle left the road and struck the pole at roughly 10 a.m. today — Friday, Feb. 27.
Hawkins Fuchs “T’s” into Meramec Bottom and carries about 3,440 vehicles on an average weekday.
Ameren repair crews are on the scene.
