Crestwood Public Works Director Jim Eckrich submitted his resignation to the city, effective Nov. 28.

Eckrich told the Call he has accepted the director of public works/city engineer position with the city of Chesterfield.

Eckrich served as Crestwood’s public works director from November 2003 to July 2008, at which time he was appointed to the city administrator post. In April 2011, Eckrich requested to return to the public works director position.

Eckrich was hired by the city March 1, 1999, as a civil engineer. He earns a $90,000 salary.
