Crestwood police launching anonymous tip app

Crestwood police launching anonymous tip app

The Crestwood Police Department announced recently it has launched an anonymous tip app, available on iTunes or the Google Play store.

The app, Crestwood MO PD, was developed by tip411 and allows citizens to share anonymous tips and have a two-way conversation with officers regarding the tips.

“Our mission is public service and we are proud of it,” Crestwood Police Chief Jonathan Williams said. “To accomplish our mission we depend upon a partnership and communication with our community. We believe our new tip411 system, the first in the region, will help make it easier for our residents to contact us and share important information.”

Those without a smartphone can share information with police by sending an anonymous text tip via their cell phone to police by texting keyword CRESTWOODTIP and their message/tip to 847411 (tip411). Anonymous web tips can also be submitted via the department’s website at www.cityofcrestwood.org/210/Police.
