Christine Michelle Cortelyou recently graduated from the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, with a doctor of medicine degree.

Cortelyou, of San Antonio, Texas, is the daughter of Arlin and Brenda Cortelyou of Oakville.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, where she graduated magna cum laude. Cortelyou earned her master of public health degree from the School of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas.

Before Cortelyou entered medical school, she worked as a medical researcher at the Human Neuroimaging Laboratory at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Cortelyou has accepted a residency in pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwest Medical Center/Children’s Medical Center of Dallas in Dallas, Texas.
