Churches to serve free Thanksgiving dinners

Two local churches will serve free Thanksgiving dinners on Thursday, Nov. 24.

For the eighth consecutive year, Affton Christian Church, 9625 Tesson Ferry Road, will provide a free Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The church served 400 meals last year, and is preparing 500 meals for this year, according to the Rev. David A. Woodard.

Local delivery of meals or transportation to and from the church can be provided; call (314) 631-5777.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 2761 Telegraph Road, will offer a free Thanks-giving dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.


to volunteer with the meal.
