St. Johns Evangelical United Church of Christ, 11333 St. Johns Church Road in Green Park, is hosted a groundbreaking ceremony March 5 for Logan’s Community Playground, an accessible and inclusive playground in memory of a late member of the church who died in 2021. The playground will be constructed by Unlimited Play, a nonprofit based in St. Peters that builds accessible playgrounds across the country. The playground will be open for the entire community to use once it is completed.

St. Johns United Church of Christ in Green Park is holding a Texas Hold’em poker tournament in June.

The poker tournament will benefit the Logan Zielinski Memorial Playground, an inclusive and accessible playground currently being constructed by the church in honor of a late church member who died in 2021.

The tournament is Saturday, June 3 at the Kirkwood Community Center, 111 S. Geyer Road, 63122. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at noon. A $100 donation includes food, snacks and beverages.

Cash or check payments will be accepted at the time of registration. Limited to the first 200 players.  To reserve a spot, go online to logansplaygroundtournament@gmail.com.
