Carl J. Zaegel, 89, died Jan. 22.

Mr. Zaegel was born in St. Louis. He and his wife owned and managed General Paper Box Co. They were also co-owners of the St. Louis Usher Service.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine L. “Kate’’ Zaegel (nee Burke); and sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Jane Zaegel and Charles “Skip’’ and Kathy Zaegel.

Services were at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Visitation was at Kutis South County Chapel. Entombment was in Resurrection Mausoleum.
