Body found in burned trailer identified as Lemay man

The man who was found burned to death inside a box trailer in Lemay has been identified by police.

The homicide investigation is still active into the suspicious death of Kenneth Booth Jr., 49, of the 9900 block of Clyde Avenue in Lemay, whose body was found in a box trailer next to the railroad tracks in the 200 block of Avenue H March 28. Police released his identity Saturday after a request from The Call.

The investigation into how Booth died is still ongoing and detectives are seeking information from the public, police said Saturday.

His death remains classified as suspicious.

Responding officers from the South County Precinct found a box trailer that had been burned with a person inside around 7:45 p.m. March 28.

The person was severely burned and pronounced dead at the scene, the department said.
