Better Together announced Friday it is hosting four upcoming town hall meetings in a series of public events with a goal of further educating and engaging citizens on the proposal for a “Metro St. Louis Government.”

The south county town hall will be held Wednesday, March 27.

“We know the community has a lot of questions about the Task Force’s recommendations, and we wanted to answer all of them,” said Better Together Executive Director Nancy Rice in a news release. “We look forward to a robust conversation over the next two years.”

There is a 150-person limit at each venue so the organization asks attendees to please RSVP on the Better Together website at www.bettertogetherstl.com.

The south county forum will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Genesis Banquet Center, 2651 Telegraph Road. Another nearby forum, at The Lodge at Des Peres in west county Wednesday, March 20, already reached capacity by the Call’s press time.

The other forums will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Greater St. Mark Family Church, 9950 Glen Owen Drive in north county, and at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at Carpenter’s Hall, 1401 Hampton Ave. in south city.

The organization said it will post other town halls soon.
