Arthur G. Baebler died March 9.

Mr. Baebler, of Concord, began his career with Union Electric Co. as manager of economic development in St. Louis.

In 1973, he moved to a new organization in St. Louis, the Regional Commerce and Growth Association, as executive vice president. He retired in 1994 as executive vice president for Printing Industries of St. Louis.

Mr. Baebler was active in several organizations, including the St. Louis City/County Small Business Development Corp. He also was past president of the University of Missouri Alliance Alumni Association, past president of the Rolla Alumni Association and past president of the board of St. Louis Enterprise Center. He spent his career promoting development of industry in St. Louis, the region he loved.

Survivors include his wife, Ivy (nee Modde); sons, Matthew G. (Elaine) and Drew C. (Dee) Baebler; sister, Roberta Bobbie Cioffi; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Lehan, Patrick, Jonathan, Ryan, Elisa, Megan and Amanda Baebler, Kathryn Burrud and Melissa Perez; and great-grandchild, Nolan.

Visitation and services were at St. Justin the Martyr Catholic Church. The family was assisted by Kutis Affton Chapel.
