A $500 contribution recently was presented to the Arthritis Foundation by the Oreck Factory Showrooms at the grand opening of its newest store in Fenton’s Gravois Bluffs shopping complex.

The contribution was made to Linda Sherwin, president of the Eastern Missouri Arthritis Foundation, by Oreck co-owner Mike Brauch.

Also attending were Fenton city officials, officers of the Fenton Chamber of Commerce, representatives of the Arthritis Foundation and the management team of the Oreck Factory Showrooms of St. Louis.

Arthritis and related conditions are pervasive, causing pain and limited movement for one in three Americans.

For 7 million Americans, arthritis limits such everyday movements as walking, writing, dressing and house cleaning. Seventy million Americans have arthritis, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
