Rain didn’t stop South County from enjoying the 20th year of the JB Blast at Jefferson Barracks Park in 2019, featuring live music, an appearance from County Executive Sam Page and a fireworks show. That year, then-County Council Presiding Officer Ernie Trakas, R-6th District, was in charge of the festivities, after the resignation of former County Executive Steve Stenger.

The JB Blast, south St. Louis County’s biggest Fourth of July celebration, is returning to Jefferson Barracks Park.

The family-friendly evening will start at 7 p.m. Friday, June 28 at the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater, 533 Bagby Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. The JB Blast will feature a concert at 7 p.m., with fireworks to follow around dusk at 9:15 p.m. Admission and parking are free, and there will be plenty of food available for purchase from a variety of food trucks on “food truck row.” Blankets, picnic baskets and coolers are welcome.

This year’s concert features music from Mystic.

The park entrance is located at the intersection of Broadway and Kingston. For more information, call 314-615-4386 or visit www.stlouisco.com/parks.
