All students are safe after a Mehlville School District bus headed to Forder Elementary was involved in an accident Thursday morning.

The school district sent an email to parents confirming that “students on Forder Elementary Bus 42 are okay.”

The accident happened at Lemay Ferry and Reavis Barracks.

Forder Principal Whitney Maus and transportation officials went to the scene to be with students, the district said.

Students have since been safely taken to school.

“The students were met by the Forder school nurse and counselor to provide additional support. Dr. Maus will be checking in with families of students on the bus later this morning,” the district said in an email to parents.

The district said in its original email, “All students on Forder Elementary Bus 42 are okay following an accident this morning at Lemay Ferry and Reavis Barracks. Our transportation and administrative staff, including Dr. Maus, are on the scene with students now. We’ll provide you an update when students have made it safely to school.”
