Alexander J. Grzyb died Jan. 15 in an automobile accident.

Mr. Grzyb was a Mehlville Senior High School sophomore who was attending the South County Opportunity for the Purpose of Education. He had been a Mehlville student since 1993. Mr. Grzyb attended Trautwein Elementary School and Washington Middle School. As a freshman, he played football and was on the wrestling team.

Survivors include his father, John E. Grzyb; mother, Janet A. Nicoletti; grandparents, Henry Grzyb and Carol (Carl) Gillam; aunts and uncles, Sue (Steve) Robles, Henry Grzyb Jr., Lynda (John) Larson, Kristin Gillam, Judy Nicoletti, Jeri (Ron) Smith, Jean (Michael) Porter and Michael (Patty) Nicoletti; and cousins, Steven Larson, Stephanie Larson and Hannah Larson, Ryan Blair, Bryan Brennan and Nici Brennan, Michael Porter and Sarah Porter and Anthony Nicoletti, Kyle Nicoletti and Lauren Nicoletti. Mr. Grzyb was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anthony and Eleanor Nicoletti.

A memorial service was conducted at Kutis Affton Chapel.
