Affton’s 9 Mile Garden opens its season today, March 1

Affton’s 9 Mile Garden, Missouri’s first food truck garden, will open its season on Monday, March 1, operating seven days a week for lunch, dinner and special events. This year, there will be a number of rotating food trucks, an updated draft beer menu at The Canteen and new special events. The Garden is located at 9375 Gravois Road Affton, Missouri, 63123.

St. Louis’s best and most loved food trucks can be found from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 9 p.m. for dinner, while the garden will be open to patrons from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. During a visit, customers can enjoy The Canteen @ 9 Mile Garden, a modern draft house offering a wide selection of craft and domestic beers from the best of local and national breweries alongside a rotating selection of draft wines, cocktails and cold brew coffee on tap.

The Canteen will be serving happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and a late-night happy hour from 10 p.m. to close. The Canteen also features air hockey, foosball, pickleball, cornhole and board games for free.

“We are excited to kick off our 2021 season with a killer line-up of food trucks and special events planned out,” said Brian Hardesty, managing partner of 9 Mile Garden, in a news release. “There has never been a better time to get outside, in a socially distant environment, and enjoy the incredible features we have in the garden like our 26-foot jumbo screen, live music and family-focused entertainment.”

The venue’s food truck lineup for 2021 consists of Doggie Mac’s, Havana’s Cuisine, Sugarfire 64, This N That, Truck Norris, Truckeria Del Valle, Wayno’s International and Zacchi Truck, to name a few.

While enjoying the array of food trucks, patrons can experience a different event every night of the week. The initial lineup for 2021 is:

  • Every Monday night trivia night at 7 p.m.
  • Every Tuesday night live comedy with Impolite Company (three local and touring comics perform starting at 8 p.m. each week)
  • Every Wednesday night live music either in The Canteen or on the Garden stage. starts at 7-9 p.m.
  • Every Thursday night trivia 7 p.m.
  • Every Friday night live music on the Garden stage 6:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Every Saturday night movie night in the Garden 7 p.m.
  • Every Sunday brunch with trucks 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and an artisan maker’s market during brunch coming in April.

The garden and staff follow the health and safety guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and St. Louis County to provide a socially responsible event space, organizers said. Sanitation stations are located on-site, tables are situated more than 12 feet apart and patrons are required to wear masks.
