Affton Town Hall set for Wednesday will focus on crime, security

The Affton Southwest Police Precinct and Step Up of St. Louis will host an Affton Town Hall Wednesday night that will focus on crime, security, drugs in the community and how residents can obtain a discount on security systems.

The Affton Town Hall will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Affton Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Road.

Topics of conversation include video demonstrations on how Ring video doorbells work, including installation and set-up, as well as steps that can be taken to reduce crime in the community.

Other topics covered will be drug use and children vaping concerns, ways to give and receive from the Affton Christian Food Pantry and volunteer opportunities in the community.

The town hall will also have giveaways and handouts, including gun locks, Narcan kits and informational material on crime prevention.

The Affton Community Ring Program will begin in February. Affton residents will have 10 days to get $40 off all Ring purchases, excluding the Ring Doorbell 1.
