Update: The advisory has been canceled after the two children were located safely. The suspect was also located.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and St. Louis County Police Department have issued an endangered persons advisory for two children missing out of Sappington.
The children, 12-year old Michael Gonazalez and 15-year-old Maya Gonzalez, have been missing since 6:21 p.m. Monday. Police issued the advisory for the two children shortly after they were believed to be taken from a home on the 9200 block of Confederacy Drive.
Michael Gonzalez is described as a white male, height 4-foot-11, weighing 90 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. He was last seen wearing a black/red flannel, pajama pants and light blue Adidas shoes.
Maya Gonzalez is described as a white female, height 5-foot-1, weighing 106 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion. She has a
nasal septum piercing and was last seen wearing a brown sweater, black pants and black Jordan shoes.
Police said in the advisory they believe the children were taken by their father, Christopher Gonzalez, who has a no-contact order through family court.
Christopher Gonzalez, 43, is described as a Hispanic male who is 6-feet in height and weighs 240 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes, a fair complexion and a tattoo on the right side of the neck. He may be driving a gray 2018 GMC Yukon with a Missouri license plate 8YFD06.
Police say anyone seeing the missing persons, suspect, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing persons should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210.
