The city of Waterloo, Illinois, is holding its eighth annual PumpkinFest Saturday, Oct. 13.
The festivities take place 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the historical district of downtown Waterloo outside the Monroe County Court House Square, 100 S. Main St., 62289.
Founded in 2010, this year’s festival will feature more than 100 vendors selling clothing, accessories, home decor, jewelry and more, as well as over 10 food vendors to choose from.
Children’s games and activities will be hosted by local businesses and community organizations.
Pumpkin and fall-related events include a 5K Fun Walk/Run, pumpkin train rides, a pumpkin art contest, a pumpkin pie eating contest, a pumpkin seed spitting contest, a dog costume contest and many more.
