The St. Louis County Planning Commission is set to hear petitions for a veterinary clinic and vehicle service facility in South County at its meeting next week.
The commission will meet Monday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the county government center in Clayton, 41 S. Central Ave., 63105.
The two public hearings on the agenda are both in the 6th County Council District of Councilman Ernie Trakas, R-Oakville, and in the Affton School District.
The first request is by Alliance Animal Health for an amended conditional use permit on .56 acres at 9998 Gravois Road for a proposed animal hospital and veterinary clinic. A freestanding Chase ATM already exists on the property. The building at the address was previously a Verizon Wireless store.
Also on the agenda is a CUP request by DSX Tuning, LLC in a M-1 manufacturing district on 2.59 acres at 9769 Reavis Park Drive. The proposed use is a vehicle service facility and vehicle repair center in the existing 112,226-square-foot, 1-story building. DSX already has a location in the industrial park at 9783 Reavis Park Drive.
According to the preliminary development plan for DSX, the existing refrigerated storage will be replaced with a covered pad for dynamometer equipment to test engines and motors.
The Planning Commission will hear the two petitions on Monday.
