Two Oakville women died in a two-car accident Monday morning. The deceased have been identified as Lisa Driskell, 58, and Reba Maxey, 79.

The accident occurred around 8:40 a.m. July 25 in the 5900 block of Telegraph Road. A Chevrolet Colorado, driven by a 63-year-old female, was traveling southbound on Telegraph and accelerated through a just-changed red light. At the same time, a Nissan Rogue, driven by Driskell, turned left onto Telegraph and was struck by the Colorado. Maxey was the front-seat passenger in the Nissan.

The driver of the Colorado and a 12-year-old passenger in the Nissan were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

St. Louis County Police Crimes Against Persons detectives and the Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating the accident and will disseminate more information as it becomes available.
