The Interact Club at Sperreng and Truman middle schools raised $1,000 for the Crestwood Animal Shelter this fall by baking and selling homemade dog biscuits at the Lindbergh High School Rotary Craft Fair. The students and their sponsor, Megan Scott, second from left, presented a check at the Jan. 26 Board of Aldermen meeting to Mayor Gregg Roby, and Crestwood Animal Shelter Vice President Mary Balles, left, Treasurer Denise Beggs. right, and President Christina Risner, next to Roby. The funds will go directly to provide veterinary services toward the many dog and cat shelter guests housed within the volunteer-run shelter.
