SunCrest Fest is canceled for 2020

The cities of Sunset Hills and Crestwood announced Wednesday that they are canceling their joint annual festival, the SunCrest Fest, scheduled for Sept. 19.

Like many other events this year, the SunCrest Fest has been canceled due to the “uncertainty and continued threat surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic,” the cities said in the announcement.

Public health concerns remain “top priority” for both cities, and that includes visitors, staff, volunteers, vendors and their families, the cities said. In partnership with the carnival company, city officials agree “canceling is the needed decision and look forward to a healthy return in 2021,” the news release stated.

Any residents and the general public who have any additional questions or concerns can feel free to contact the Crestwood-Sunset Hills Area Chamber of Commerce at 314-843-8545 or
