Sixth-grade students from St. Margaret Mary Alacoque recently blasted into space at the Challenger Learning Center. Students spent their time trying to rendezvous with a comet, splitting their time between Mission Control and the Space Station. Using teamwork, the students performed various tasks relating to their mission. Utilizing reading, math, and communication skills, the students were able to successfully complete their mission. Above, Space Shuttle Team members are shown using a spectrometer and wearing glasses to see the light spectrum given off by gas in space.
