A storage facility proposed for Oakville is back after residents opposed it in 2017, under a rezoning plan that will be heard by the St. Louis County Planning Commission next week.
The planning panel will meet for the hearing at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in the County Council Chambers at the Administration Building at 41 S. Central Ave., Clayton.
The commission will hear a proposal for a new self-storage facility on Lemay Ferry Road in Oakville, at a site that was previously suggested for a similar facility in the past.
In Oakville, Covington Self Storage of Clayton is proposing a self-storage warehouse and office on a 4.4-acre site at 5419 Lemay Ferry Road, near the Mehlville Fire Protection District Firehouse No. 7 and Ringer Road. Neighbors fought the facility in 2017.
