Star Wars fans celebrate at last year’s Fan Fest at Grant’s View Library.

The St. Louis County Library’s 2018 Star Wars Fan Fest will feature appearances by “Clone Wars” star Ashley Eckstein and Cardinals great David Eckstein.

The event runs fromt 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, at Grant’s View Library, 9700 Musick Road. The Ecksteins’ talk will begin at 7 p.m.

A giant celebration of all things Star Wars, this annual event attracts over 1,000 Star Wars fans and features costumed characters from the 501st Legion International Star Wars Costuming Organization, food trucks, crafts and games.

Actress, entrepreneur and ultimate fan girl Ashley Eckstein landed her dream role as the voice of the first female Jedi, Ahsoka Tano, in the animated Star Wars franchise “The Clone Wars.” She went on to launch Her Universe, an apparel company catering to fan girls, which has become a preferred partner for Disney and their girl power initiative.

Ashley will be joined by her husband, former Cardinals shortstop and 2006 World Series MVP David Eckstein.

A book signing of Ashley’s memoir “It’s Your Universe” will follow the presentation. A book purchase at the event will be required to enter the signing line. Ashley and David will each sign one piece of memorabilia per book buyer.

Additional off-site parking is at Dressel Elementary, 10911 Tesson Ferry Road.  Shuttle service will be provided. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
