The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges Nov. 15 against a St. Louis man for sexual misconduct involving a child under 15.
According to police, Christopher Martin, 25, of the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue, 63118, was charged with sexual misconduct involving a child under 15, first-degree sexual misconduct, and first-degree trespassing. He is being held on a $350,000 cash-only, no 10% bond.
Police said that on the morning of Nov. 15, the defendant approached a minor victim while she was on her way to the bus stop near Fleta Street and Seth Avenue. The defendant exposed himself to the victim and asked her to perform oral sex on him. The victim left, went home, and notified her mother, who then contacted police.
When police arrived, the defendant fled down the 7800 block of Fleta and entered a residence. A second victim saw him in the kitchen and ordered him out of the house. The defendant then fled to another driveway on the same block, where he again lowered his pants and began masturbating in public view, before finally being taken into custody. A record check of the defendant revealed an active warrant for sexual misconduct out of St. Louis city.
The investigation is being led by officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct.
