St. Francis of Assisi School in Oakville will debut its fourth Broadway production with three performances of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” from Friday, April 20, to Sunday, April 22.
Nearly 100 pupils are participating in this lighthearted, colorful production, which is based on the biblical tale of Jacob’s son Joseph and his 11 brothers. It includes a blend of musical genres.
Performances include a sold-out Dinner Theater at 7 p.m. Friday. Additional performances with tickets still available will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. All performances will take place in the Parish Center on Telegraph Road.
The show promises fabulous costumes, music, dance and drama with talented pupils at their best, a news release stated.

St. Francis of Assisi music teacher Nick Moramarco is directing the Andrew Lloyd Weber play, which first was performed in 1968 and was expanded and reopened in 1991.
In 1999, a film version was created starring Donny Osmond and Joan Collins. A new production is touring the United States today and will stop at the Muny this summer.
