Dec. 15 marked the 130th anniversary of the signing of the Bill of Rights. Last year was also the second year the U.S. Courts hosted a Bill of Rights Day event, accompanied by an art and essay contest for students grades 3-12. Students from 10 states, including Missouri, were eligible to enter, and winners were chosen Dec. 1. Eighth grade student Sylvia Hynes of Lindbergh’s Sperreng Middle School won first place for Middle School Art with a stop motion movie, and presented her project Dec. 1 to a webinar audience.
