• Paint with water balloons and squeeze bottles at the Outside Paint Party hosted by the Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road, from 3 – 4 p.m. Open to ages 13 – 17. Dress to get messy. Registration is required at slcl.org/events.

• SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting ZumbaGold at 11:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $3.

Saturday, July 22

• Celebrate over 150 years of the St. Louis Liederkranz German Singing Club with a concert and dinner at St. Louis University High School’s Si Commons, 4970 Oakland Ave. Doors will open at 2:45 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. concert, and the buffet dinner will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets for the entire event, concert, buffet dinner, limited open bar and dessert are $40. • The Ulysses S Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, is hosting the Grant Death Commemoration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The event is free and will take place outdoors in front of the Visitor center by the flagpoles. No reservations required.

• The Affton Community Center, 9801 Mackenzie Road, is hosting open pickleball from 11 – 1 p.m. and 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. Admission is $2 per person or free for Renew Active and SilverSneakers members. Reservations start Monday at 8 a.m. by calling 314-615-8822.

Sunday, July 23

• Join a park ranger for fun, fitness and history on a leisurely paced, three-mile run through Grantwood Village to the original site of Grant’s cabin, Hardscrabble. The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Ulysses S Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, and goes until 11:30 a.m. A walking version of the event will  take place later in the day, from 2 – 4 p.m. The program is free, though reservations are required at 314-842-1867 ext. 230.

• Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3600 Hampton Ave., has worship recorded and streamed every Sunday at 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Facebook and Youtube, and in-person.

• Trinity United Church of Christ, 5200 Hilde Ave., is holding services at 10:30 a.m. “Open and affirming.”

• The Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, is hosting “Bringing the Power of Nature into People Places” from 7 – 8 p.m. Presented by the EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden, this exciting talk showcases Biophilia from the new Jack C. Taylor Visitor Center at Missouri Botanical Garden to entire cities around the world. Open to adults. Registration is required at slcl.org/events.
