Friday, June 6
- Make a difference | The Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at the Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Help patients in need of blood by donating. Donors may be 16 years old if they have parental consent — otherwise, donors should be 17 years old and older. All donors should bring a photo ID, and remember to eat beforehand! Walk-ins will be accepted, but those who make appointments beforehand will take priority. To register, visit www.redcross.com or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
- Make a difference | Mehlville firefighters have organized the Mouse Races for Mecey Fundraiser, which will take place from 6 – 10 p.m. at Andre’s Banquet Hall, 4254 Telegraph Road. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the family of Tina Mecey, a fire/medic engineer who passed from cancer. Even if you can’t attend, you can still donate on GoFundMe.
- Get your workout in | SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting chair yoga at 10:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $5 and SilverSneakers is accepted.

- Enjoy nature | Plant America Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri, East Central District, presents “Garden Vignettes” ECD Garden Tour on Saturday, June 7, 2025, 10 am – 4 pm. Visit your choice of ten beautiful and unique ECD members’ gardens located in Webster Groves (1), Town & Country (1), Fenton (2), Sunset Hills (3), Mehlville (1) and Oakville (2). - Enjoy nature | National Trails Day provides the perfect opportunity to set off on a local trail with others in your community. If you are out enjoying Grant’s Trail on National Trails Day, stop in and enjoy the new path that takes you down by the stream where Julia played as a child. If your canine companion is along, it is a great opportunity to make him or her a BARK Ranger.
- Schedule playtime | Spend your Saturday morning relaxing with your baby for Baby Play Time at the Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road. This event — held from 10 – 11 a.m. — is meant for babies ages 0 to 24 months. They will be able to “explore the world through sensory play” in a group setting.
- Learn new skills | AI images are becoming more and more prominent online. From 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Weber Road Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 4444 Weber Road, attend “Small Bytes: Spotting AI Photos,” a short workshop that will give you tips on how to detect whether an image is AI-generated. Sunday, June 8
- Join in worship | Beginning at 7:30 a.m., there will be an all-day Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the Monastery of St. Clare, 200 Marycrest Drive. You may receive the special plenary indulgence by praying at the monastery. The day will conclude with an evening prayer with the sisters and benediction at 4:30 p.m.
- Join in worship | Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3600 Hampton Ave., has worship recorded and streamed every Sunday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube and in person.
- Enjoy nature | The Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, is hosting “Healthy Parks, Healthy People: A fitness based walk through history” from 2 – 4 p.m. Join a park ranger for fun, fitness and history on a 3-mile, leisurely-paced, round-trip walk through Grantwood Village to the original site of Grant’s Hardscrabble cabin. This program is free, though reservations are required by calling 314-842-1867 ext. 230.

- Get home guidance | The Weber Road Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 4444 Weber Road, wants to help you figure out bills, rent or mortgage payments and home weatherization. From 9:30 a.m. to noon, representatives from the Community Action Agency of St. Louis County will be available to talk about programs or guide you through applications. This free activity, open exclusively to adults, will be presented by the Missouri Department of Conservation from 6 – 7 p.m. Registration, though not required, is requested. - Connect with others | Join other veterans at “Veterans Coffee Talk” hosted at American Legion Post 162, 9305 S. Broadway Street, at 9 a.m. every Wednesday. Conducted by Saint Louis Vets Connect, “Veterans Coffee Talk” was created so veterans can enjoy the brotherhood shared by all branches of service, providing a non-political atmosphere where their stories and valor can be shared. Free donuts and coffee – and occasionally breakfast – will be provided.
- Connect with others | The Rotary Club of Crestwood and Sunset Hills meets at the Sunset Hills Community Center, 3915 S. Lindbergh Blvd., at noon.

- Lunch and learn | SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting a Lunch and Learn at St.Thomas/Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 3980 S. Lindbergh Blvd., at 11 a.m. Learn the minimum 21 responsibilities your Trustee will have upon your passing and how to make the task easier. A homemade lunch will be served at noon, following the program. $5 is suggested for entry.
- Bring your furry friends | Orchid Terrace Retirement Home, 4474 Butler Hill Road, will host a Whisker & Wags Social Event. From 2 – 4 p.m., take part in cookie decorating, get photos with your pets and participate in a pet food drive for tornado victims.
- Read with animals | Reptiles and amphibians from the St. Louis Herpetological Society are coming to the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road. From 6 -7 p.m., children ages 6 – 11 are invited to meet these animals and read a story to them. Bring your favorite book or borrow one from the library.
