The Crestwood Police Department has shut down a section of Watson Road due to problems with traffic in the snow, and is asking members of the public to avoid Watson between Sappington and Rock Hill roads until further notice.
Up to two inches of snow are expected in the St. Louis region Wednesday, as the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory through 3 p.m.
Forecasters say to plan on slippery road conditions, and accumulating snow could cause travel difficulties.
Police say that is already happening in Crestwood as of noon, with westbound traffic on Watson Road shut down by the department and eastbound traffic “severely congested.”
