This year, 15 animal rescue organizations in the St. Louis metro area, including the Crestwood Animal Shelter, are participating in the biggest “Shelter Slumber Pawty” in history.

Volunteers and staff from local shelters will be grabbing their sleeping bags and pillows to crawl into kennels and enclosures with adoptable dogs and cats during the 24-hour event Aug. 10 through 11. They will be raising money and awareness for their organizations and the people and pets they serve.

Donations can be made to the event and split among all 15 groups or you can make a donation to one of the participating organizations at Shelterslumberpawty.

The Crestwood shelter hopes to raise $4,000 from the event. “The snuggle is real” for the all-volunteer “Little Shelter That Could.”
