The National Weather Service issued a severe weather warning Friday morning throughout the St. Louis area and parts of Missouri.

The warning said a strong cold front is coming through Dec. 10 and to expect thunderstorms from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Damaging winds of 60 mph or higher and tornadoes are possible.

The NWS stated to be sure to have multiple ways to receive warnings, like televisions, cellphones or radios. Updates will follow from the NWS throughout the night.
