To celebrate the reconstruction progress of the 1816 Joseph Sappington Log House, the pioneer home being rebuilt as a rustic educational and event venue in Crestwood’s Historic Sappington Park, the Sappington House Foundation is hosting “RendeZ-PaLouZa 1776 Meets 2026” — a two-day artisan festival.
The first day of the event, a harvest feast and festival at The Barn restaurant, will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Sept. 25, though it is only open to donors and paid ticket holders.
Saturday’s festivities — held at Crestwood’s Historic Sappington Park, 1015 S. Sappington Road, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. — are free and open to the public. Folkway artisans will be demonstrating crafts, and visitors may have a chance to try their hand at some old-time skills. Historic re-enactments and dramatic presentations will also take place.
