The Missouri Department of Transportation will close northbound and southbound Route 141 under Interstate 44 in St. Louis County prior to morning rush on Thursday, Nov. 7 in anticipation of current Meramec River flooding predictions.
The closure is expected to remain throughout the weekend. Message boards have been placed in the area warning drivers of the closure.
There will be limited access to eastbound and westbound I-44 from Route 141during the closure. Motorists traveling north on Route 141 can detour using Interstate 64 or Route 100 (Manchester Road). Route 141 drivers from the south can detour using Interstate 55, Route 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) or Route 30 (Gravois Road).
Signed detours will also be in place directing motorists around the closure.
Additionally, the commuter lot at the northwest corner of Route 141 closed the evening of Nov. 6.
