Kennerly Elementary School staff along with Lindbergh administrators and Board of Education members joined students Oct. 20 to celebrate the completion of Kennerly’s secure entry vestibule. The project was part of the Proposition R bond issue approved by voters in April 2019.
Students and staff cut a ribbon for the new, secure entry vestibule at Kennerly, above. Other secure vestibules that have been completed around the district include Crestwood Elementary, Long Elementary and Sperreng Middle. The secure entry vestibule at Truman Middle School is currently under construction, and is the last school to get its vestibule under Prop R.
In addition to funding the secure vestibules, Prop R improvements include the addition of security flagging on entryway glass and transaction windows at five schools that already have secure vestibule entryways.
