South County may soon get yet another QuikTrip.
The Crestwood Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the Oklahoma-based convenience store chain’s final development plan at a Sept. 3 meeting, though before anything is finalized, the Board of Aldermen must approve.
If given the OK by the board, the new QuikTrip will be constructed in the Crestwood Crossing shopping center on the southeast-most outlot at 9507 Watson Road.
Though this, if approved, would be the eighth QuikTrip in the South County area — not including the two in nearby Jefferson County and the newly approved yet-to-be-built store in Sunset Hills at 10200 Rahning Road along Highway 30 — the Crestwood Crossing store will stand out from the rest as it is expected to be one of St. Louis’ first, if not the first, Generation 4 prototype. This means the store will be larger, sleeker and “top of the line with top tech(nology).”
