Work has begun at Oakville High School on the baseball/softball field updates funded by Proposition S. Improvements include regrading and laser-leveling the field, new drainage, a new irrigation system and a new fence and backstop. The baseball and softball fields at Mehlville High are scheduled for similar safety upgrades, funded through Prop S. The MHS project is larger since that baseball field will be relocated due to a storm drain in the outfield. The district will bid for that project next summer.
