Having served as a Green Park Ward 1 alderman since 2007, Anthony Pousosa will continue to serve until at least 2011 as he is unopposed in the April 7 election.
Asked in a Call questionnaire to identify the most important issue in this election year, he said, “Continuation and completion of all residential street replacement projects. We have Antigo scheduled for 2009. Arctic, Ambush, Herpal and Antrill are the next residential streets that will be up for discussion over the next two years.
“However, they may not necessarily be replaced in that order. Street condition and cost are some factors used to determine which streets are replaced in a given year. Street replacement is important because it makes neighborhoods look attractive for homeowners, potential homeowners and increases property values.
Pousosa, 38, 9700 Antigo Drive, is an operating-room nurse at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Center for Advanced Medicine. He and his wife, Regina, have two children.
He is seeking re-election “to continue to serve my constituents in a way that allows their voices to be heard. To represent residents in a way that provides leadership and vision for the future. I believe that the city of Green Park is a wonderful place to live and must continue to have a vision for the future to continue to be a successful municipality. A city that finds solace in mediocrity and lacks vision for the future will cease to exist.”
