Portions of East Watson Road in Crestwood between Sturdy Drive and Kathy Court are closed to all through traffic for approximately the next three months as part of a Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District project.

Beginning Dec. 12, the intersection of East Watson and Sturdy Drive was closed so MSD can conduct its East Watson Sanitary Relief Project. Portions of East Watson Road remain closed for all hours of the day between Sturdy Drive and Kathy Court. The portion of the project with the associated road closure is expected to last about three months through March 11.

The purpose of the road closure is to upgrade underground sanitary sewer facilities.

Streets affected by the closure include East Watson Road and the intersection with Sturdy, Fern Glen Drive, Manda Lane and Kathy Court. Estimated dates for future intersection closures include Fern Glen Drive on Wednesday, Manda Lane on Jan. 10 and Kathy Court on Feb. 14.
