Harold Adams, 81, was fatally struck at the intersection of South Broadway and Horn avenues during the early morning hours of March 27.
The last known address of Adams was in Michigan.
According to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call for service at approximately 3:10 a.m. on March 27 for a person struck in the 9200 block of South Broadway Avenue at Horn Avenue. Once at the scene, the officers located the victim, now identified as Adams, and transported him to an area hospital for treatment. Adams later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Adams was in the roadway at the time he was struck. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the ongoing police investigation.
