Michael Johnson, 34, of the 200 block of Coventry Lane, Fenton, was fatally struck at the intersection of Tesson Ferry Road and Kempf Drive on Oct. 15.

According to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct responded to a call for service for a person struck near the intersection of Tesson Ferry Road and Kempf Drive on Oct. 15 at 12:15 a.m. Once arrived at the scene, officers located Johnson, who had been struck by a vehicle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was walking across Tesson Ferry Road when he was struck. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
