The Mehlville Optimist Club recently honored John Mathew Revilla of Mehlville Senior High School as its Student of the Month.

Among those present at the award ceremony to share in the honor and elaborate on John’s accomplishments were his parents, Ramon and Mary Ann, Mehlville High Principal Denise Swanger and Mehlville High Assistant Principal Shannon Pike.

John is a member of the National Honor Society, vice president of the Senior Student Council and an Executive Character captain, promoting Christian leadership education. He also serves on the Special Olympics Committee and as a KONNECT mentor.
