Wayne Hilzinger, 74, died June 21.

Beloved husband of Jackie Hilzinger for 51 years; devoted father of Angie (Sean) Courtney and Natalie (Rob) Hassler; cherished Papa Wayne of Claire and Norah Courtney and Ella and Sam Hassler; beloved brother of Ron (Laura) Hilzinger and Jeff (Teresa Reinking) Hilzinger; dear son of the late Charles and Catherine (nee Jennings) Hilzinger; memorable uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Wayne was appointed to the St Louis County Planning Commission in 1999 and was appointed chairman of the commission in 2011.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Wayne’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
