Thelma M. Geldbach (nee Dietz), 95, died June 23 while hospitalized at St. Anthony’s Medical Center for numerous health concerns.Mrs. Geldbach was born, raised and lived her entire life in Oakville, never moving more than one block from Telegraph Road.She was proudly employed for over 31 years as the school secretary at Point Elementary School, which was just across the street from the family home. Mrs. Geldbach loved her family, her faith, bowling and card playing.She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, eight years ago. Mrs. Geldbach and her family were active lifetime members of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.She had two children, Carolyn Mason and Sharon Schertzer; six grandchildren, Adam, Amanda, Megan, Aaron, David and Kimberly; nine great-grandchildren, Kennady, Reagan, Jackson, Taylor, Rylan, Harper and Krypton.Mrs. Geldbach’s final day was enjoyed by playing cards with her daughter Sharon for half the day.Visitation was at John L. Ziegenhein & Sons — South County. Services were at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Oakville.Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
