Rickey R. Wohlschlaeger, 66, died July 5.

He was born May 3, 1958 in St. Louis to Randolph and Virginia (nee Kochneer) Wohlschlaeger.

Rickey is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Brenda (nee Troup) Wohlschlaeger; his dear children Alexander E. (fiancé Nicki Collins) Wohlschlaeger, and Andrew “Drew” (partner Colleen Hayes); his brother-in-law Greg (the late Diann) Smith; and many cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Timothy Wohlschlaeger.

Rickey was a dedicated Boy Scout leader, Counselor and Den Leader having been on the Philmont High Adventure Camp four times. He loved gardening, RV camping and was an expert vintner, tending 400 of his own grapevines in the Wohlschlaeger Winery.

A visitation will be at the Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, on Wednesday, July 10 from 4 – 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, July 11 at 11 a.m. Interment at Park Lawn Cemetery.
